What is a Zine?: A "zine" is a tiny magazine! I create these to help spread the word about things that I think are interesting or important. I often include a random one with each order as a thank you gift. They open like a tiny 4 page book!
In This Issue: This one is about the importance of fire in Florida habiats! When I was learning about local conservation I was fascinated to learn how adapted to fire many species are. The majority of conservation land in Florida needs regular fire in order to function correctly, and Florida is one of the leading states in prescribed burns!! This zine is intended to be an introduction to that cycle. It was originally made in 2018 as an edition of the monthly Pine Rockland Zine, and it's still one of my favorites. I've updated it with more accurate information.
